Senior Resource Group with Positive Market Feedback

Congratulations to Senior Resource Group for their positive market feedback of Maravilla Scottsdale, in Arizona. The following was taken from a recent press release:

“Despite the economy and typical shift in seasonal senior residents, Maravilla Scottsdale has exceeded early deposit projections by nearly 30 percent. In response to the unprecedented high demand, the community has now begun the site selection process of its Phase One residences featuring casitas and independent courtyard residences.”

We had the opportunity to work closely with SRG & Starwood in the development of their community identity and brand focus, specifically as it relates to a challenging Arizona real estate market. The focus of positioning the community included the integration between consumers’ everyday lives, and the emotional transformation that occurs in certain stages of their lives. A successful brand, a successful space, provides the instant gratification that places the consumer into an active versus passive role; moving beyond their immediate senses and connecting with the emotions. The development of the Sales Center, in order to create an idea that was self propelled into the marketplace, needed to serve as a 3 dimensional identity platform that told the story that embodies Maravilla.

The following was taken from a press release announcing the opening of the sales center that overlooks the future site of the community:

“Maravilla Sales and Information Center visitors are in for a remarkable experience,” said Tim Cowen, executive director for Maravilla Scottsdale. “From the moment you walk in, you’re enveloped in Maravilla’s luxuriously high-end style. From the onyx, marble and granite countertops to the leather walls to the full-size kitchen display, it truly demonstrates how exceptional our community will be.”

Starwood Vacation Ownership

Following is an additional posting from my Senior Designer, Christina Johnson.
-Wendi

Starwood Vacation Ownership is the fractional vacation ownership division of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. Starwood owns the international brands Westin, St. Regis, Luxury Collection, W, and several others. They are none for their impeccable and diverse branding, their level of quality, and their beautiful vacation properties all over the world.

This year, they have opened several properties that we were involved in firsthand.

In February, 2008, sales launched for the Sheraton Steamboat Springs, in Colorado. This existing property is undergoing a full renovation, and the Sales Gallery was part of our scope to completely renovate, position marketing, apply branding principles, and help develop the level of quality for the property.

A few hours away from Steamboat Springs, we were also developing two Sales Galleries for the Westin Riverfront property, a new build, in Vail Valley, Colorado. Pictures of the main sales gallery are shown below. This particular Sales Gallery was also used to launch a new concept for the Starwood Preferred Guest marketing material, for which I helped design and develop the prototype display.

In May of 2008, Starwood also opened the Sales Gallery for the Princeville Resort in Kauai, Hawaii, a property that we were also very much involved in. This project was close to 2 years in the making, for the Sales Gallery alone. Starwood has a 60 year tradition in Hawaii, and Princeville is their 3rd vacation ownership development on the islands. Pictures of the property are shown below.

With these properties, and several others, Starwood Vacation Ownership has established themselves as the premier developer in the vacation ownership industry. Their resorts are known for their impeccable locations, high quality, and great service. The architecture and design of their sales centers are also an indication of what they, and the teams they work with, are capable of.
